MountainHeart Closed For Memorial Service


Beckley, WV - As Governor Manchin has declared Friday, July 2, 2010, as a day of mourning and remembrance of the life of Senator Robert  C. Byrd. MountainHeart Community Services, Inc. will not be open for business. MountainHeart employees will take the day to pay tribute to Senator Byrd in their individual way, either by attending live ceremonies, viewing via the news media, or personal meditation.  We hope, in some small way, showing homage to Senator Byrd will bring self contentment and closure to some if not all West Virginians.    Read More...

 

MountainHeart Opens Center For Flood Victims


Hanover, WV - In the wake of devastating flooding in Southern WV this week, MountainHeart Community Services is opening its Hanover Head Start Center for emergency child care for flood victims.  This will make available a safe environment with activities for children affected by the flooding.  Families can have a “peace of mind” in knowing that their children are being cared for and not exposed to the many health hazards in the aftermath of the flooding while they begin the long process of cleaning up.
